16 May 2018 – Understanding Mental Health

Understanding mental health and how it impacts on all of our lives will help us reduce misunderstanding and stigma.

Employee Equality Forum event 16 May 2018 1:00pm -4:30pm (registration, tea, coffee and cakes from 12:30pm) Bellshill Cultural Centre, John Street, Bellshill

Len Northfield from Lanarkshire Links will be presenting and facilitating a session on mental health.

The aim of the session is to provide participants with an understanding of what mental health is and how we can ensure as colleagues we reduce the stigma associated with mental health in our workplaces. This event is for all employees including HR Advisers and Line managers.

There will also be information on:

  • Work Well NL programme  – the Council’s health and wellbeing resources for employees
  • Time for Talking- the Employee Counselling Service

Also as May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia IDAHOT we will be commemorating that.
