The 2021/22 pay award has been agreed as follows and will be backdated to 1st January 2021 for NLC, Culture Leisure NL, NL Properties and Chief Officials employees:
- Salaries up to £25000 have been awarded a rise of £850
- Salaries between £25001 and £40000 have been awarded 2%
- Salaries between £40001 and £80000 have been awarded 1%
- Salaries over £80000 have been awarded £800
The above is based on 37 hour Full Time Equivalent.
For staff who are on Teaching T&Cs, this has still to be confirmed.
The pay arrears will be processed on the following dates:
Fortnightly Paid Employees | Thursday 6th January 2022 |
Four Weekly Paid Employees | Tuesday 11th January 2022 |
Monthly Paid Employees | Thursday 27th January 2022 |

Teacher’s Pay Award 2021/22
The 2021-22 pay award for teachers and associated professionals has been agreed as follows
For those with current salaries below £80,000:
Effective Date | % Increase |
01/04/2021 | 1.22% |
01/01/2022 | 1.00% |
For those on current salaries of £80,000 or more an £800 increase is due.
