Returning to the Workplace (Employee Guidance)
Where it has been agreed that you will either physically return to work or work from home, appropriate arrangements must be made by your manager and any concerns addressed before your return.
Your manager will make contact to discuss arrangements with you. We recognise that you may be concerned and anxious about being in the workplace and/or travelling to work and therefore it is essential that you discuss any concerns you may have with your manager at the earliest possible stage.
Your health, safety, and wellbeing is a priority for the Council. It is important that you understand the reason you are being asked to return to work (in some cases before others) and that you feel included in any decisions.
As well as understanding your individual circumstances when discussing your return to work, line managers will discuss any operational changes that have been introduced such as new procedures, how specific customer queries or issues are being addressed, changes in supply arrangements, and crucially any changes to your duties or tasks that are necessary to accommodate the operational changes.
More information on returning to work arrangements can be found on myNL or for general enquiries please contact the ESC People Helpdesk on 01698 403151 or email ESC-HelpdeskTeam@northlan.gov.uk
