What should I know about supporting my mental health & wellbeing?

We all have mental health and it is important that you look after your mental health and wellbeing during this time and discuss any concerns you have with your manager.

Even if you have been attending work or have been working from home throughout this pandemic, you will still need to adjust to a different way of working in the longer term and should feel supported and encouraged to talk about how you are feeling.

If you have an existing mental health condition that you feel has deteriorated as a result of the pandemic or have developed a mental health condition that is making you anxious about returning to work please discuss this with your manager at an early stage.

The Councils WorkWell NL page has lots of useful information on it for employees from websites, podcasts, online forums, health eating, and exercise to Employee Counselling and Occupational Health.

Further information on the support available to you can be found below and here.

The Council’s Employee Counselling Service can be accessed by calling Time for Talking on 0800 970 3980 free or online here.
