Where a teacher’s performance or conduct is such as to give rise to serious concern, disciplinary action may be taken by the authority in accordance with its locally agreed disciplinary procedures. As the aim of the disciplinary process is to seek improvement in performance or conduct, assistance to enable improvement to occur is essential.
