Supporting Your Attendance
As an employee, it is important that you know your responsibilities and entitlements with regards to absence. It is also important that you understand the ways in which North Lanarkshire Council can support you in returning to work and maintaining acceptable levels of attendance.
The Councils new Supporting Attendance Policy and Procedure for Local Government Employees (excluding Teachers and Associated Professionals who have their own Managing Attendance Policy) is available here. Information on the Occupational Health Service is also available along with a number of helpful guides in relation to Supporting Attendance.
Teachers & Associated Professionals, see Managing Your Attendance – Teachers & Associated Professionals for additional information on this topic.
New Occupational Health portal – Health Hub
Managers will now refer employees to Occupational Health using a new online portal – Health Hub
Health Hub not only brings all case referral information together in one place, it allows employees access to their occupational health information including appointment dates, advice letters etc.
When a referral to Occupational Health is made by your manager you will receive an automated email from Health Hub providing you with the details of how to create an account. All employees are encouraged to create an online account as it provides you with direct and quick access to your information. If you do not create an account you will receive the details of any appointments via text message and any advice reports that you have requested to see before the referring manager will be sent in the post.
Further information on the Council’s Occupational Health Service can be found here. Information on how to access Health Hub is available here. An FAQ document that should answer any additional questions you may have about Health Hub is available here.
If you have any questions about Health Hub please speak to your line manager in the first instance.
