Whether an employee is retiring, leaving for another post or career break or for another reason, how well we facilitate the process will determine how positive an experience the leaver will have.
We want them to go out on a high and to feel valued, organised and ready for their next adventure.

Resignations – If an employee is resigning from their post or one of their posts within NLC they will process their request via mySelf. As the reporting manager you will receive notification of their resignation request via email. The request can be viewed and actioned within your myTeam account. It is important you discuss remaining annual leave entitlement (if app) with the employee and update the appropriate fields to ensure an accruate final pay is calculated within the ESC. When the request is actioned, the employee will receive confirmation along with the ESC. Please ensure the ICT Checklist is completed/sent. Please be aware that if your employee is retiring and therefore wishes to access their pension, they need to confirm this to you. This process is different from a resignation and requires more notice to ensure pension forms are processed in advance of their leaving date. Click here for more details on this.
