People Helpdesk team

Our People Helpdesk team comprises of employees from within North Lanarkshire Council who are multi-skilled in HR, Payroll & iTrent/MySelf/MyTeam enquiries. We are based within the Employee Service Centre.

We provide high quality first-point of contract HR, Payroll & Policy advice and guidance to employees and managers on a wide range of enquiries via email and telephone. We also handle enquiries from external agencies and recruitment candidates.

The answers to most policy and iTrent / mySelf queries can be found on this website or by using the chatbot service. However, if you are unable to locate a resolution or it is a query unique to you please contact us. The best way to contact us is by emailing ESC-HelpDeskTeam@northlan.gov.uk We will endeavor to respond to your query within 3 – 5 working days.

We apply procedures and knowledge to resolve problems that may arise, ensuring enquiries are dealt with timeously and appropriately.

Our aim is to resolve at least 80% of all enquiries from initial contact at the People Helpdesk, but if we are unable to, we will progress them to the appropriate People & Organisational Development team to resolve. The appropriate team will aim to provide an initial response within 3 working days.

In addition to responding to telephone and email enquiries, we also undertake tasks such as processing Disclosure Scotland Application (PVG, Basic, Standard or Enhanced), Abatements of Leave, Leave Calculations, Jury Citations and Closing Advertised Posts.
