Mentoring

Mentoring is a flexible way to inspire someone to unlock their true potential and guide them through an important stage of their career journey.  By sharing your professional and life experience you’ll help individuals to identify their personal strengths and skills for development, present themselves appropriately or enhance their impact, explore different career paths and how to navigate towards them or maybe even support them to gain real experience of the world of work. Becoming a mentor is also a great way of growing your own professional skill set, developing your leadership, guidance, and relationship building skills.

Take a look at the resources below if you are thinking about volunteering as a mentor or are seeking a mentor yourself.   For more information or to discuss please get in touch at earlycareersteam@northlan.gov.uk
