When the interviews have concluded, the Hiring Manager will notify the successful applicant. After receiving a verbal acceptance, the on-boarding process should be initiated by the Hiring Manager with moving the applicant to Progress to Offer on iTrent Recruitment, completing the contract offer form and uploading copies of the endorsed documents.
Onboarding is the process of ensuring all relevant pre-employment checks are fulfilled for the role and contract issued to the successful applicant. Pre-employment checks will ordinarily include a reference request to a referee who knows the applicant in a professional or educational capacity. Please note that these references are to be given and received in confidence. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, confidential references are exempt from being disclosed under a subject access request, when provided for the purposes of:
• education, training, or employment of someone.
• someone working as a volunteer.
• appointing someone to office; or
• provision of any service by someone
These checks are completed by the Workforce Resourcing Team. On receipt of notification that an applicant has been progressed to offer, it will be allocated to a member of the team. The advisor who has been allocated the pre-employment checks, will contact you to confirm they will be the nominated person for your campaign, and they will keep you updated at each stage of the process.
