I've contacted my Pension Provider and they haven't received notification that I’ve joined or left the pension scheme?

Please contact the Payroll Team via the myNL Portal using the Payroll General Enquiry Form (for all enrolled services) – for those not on the Portal yet, you can call on 01698 403151, for further assistance.

What is the employer contribution rate for the Teachers Pension Scheme?

The current employer contribution rate of 23% will apply until 31 March 2023.

How do I apply for 50/50 Pension Contributions?

Please refer to the SPFO website www.spfo.org.uk/article/4479/Additional-Pension-Contributions for further information prior to making this decision and then contact the People Helpdesk if you have additional questions or wish to proceed.

If you wish to proceed, please download the relevant form, complete this and you can submit this via myNL Portal using the Payroll General Enquiry Form, or, where you are not yet live on the Portal, you can call on (01698) 403151.
This must be within 30 days of the missed pension contributions

How can I repay my missed Pension Contributions during a day of Strike Action or during my Maternity Leave (unpaid part only)?

How do I Opt-out of the Pension Scheme and how do I get my contributions refunded?

Strathclyde Pension Fund Members

Please refer to the LGPS 2015 website (www.scotlgps2015.org) for further information prior to making this decision and then contact the People Helpdesk if you have additional questions or wish to proceed.

If you wish to proceed, please download the relevant form from Strathclyde Pension Fund website (www.spfo.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=15844), complete this and submit it to the Employee Service Centre via myNL Portal using the Payroll General Enquiry Form, or, where you are not yet live on the Portal, you can call on (01698) 403151.

If you have less than 3 months in the pension fund, please complete an opt out form and submit it in the same method as above.

If you have over 3 months in the pension fund, the Payroll & Pension team will inform Strathclyde Pension Fund through Iconnect

Refunds – a refund from NLC only applies if you are an existing employee and opt out within 3 months of joining the Pension Fund.

How do I stop/start paying AVC (additional voluntary contributions) to my pension?

Contact Prudential’s Pension Connection on 0800 032 6674 or email your contact details to strathclydeavc@prudential.co.uk.

Where do I send my Pension Opt In/Out forms?

Where should enquiries from Strathclyde Pension Fund Office for information in connection with an employees pension be sent?

Strathclyde Pension Fund Office should email their enquiries direct to Payroll & Pensions SPFO Enquiries.

I've left / I'm leaving NLC, when will my final pension contributions be paid to Strathclyde Pension Fund Office?

Pension contributions are paid over to Strathclyde Pension Fund Office on the 5th of each month.

Therefore if your final pay is after the 5th of the month, your final pension contributions will not be sent until the next month.
